FAQ

  • Q1  Does hiQview IP Camera support SD Card? How?
  • Yes. There are 4 ways to save the video onto a SD card:

    1. Motion detection: every motion detection image takes 10 seconds to be saved. The saving time segment can be set up to be 10~60 seconds

    2. Network disconnected (wireless IP cameras doesn’t have this function): when physical Internet lines are disconnected or there’s abnormality happens, this function will start video recording right way. The video saving depends on the Internet disconnection time. The maximum video file length is 10 minutes continuously.

    3. Network IP check: when the IP address (the default IP is www.google.com) cannot be pinged, the video recording will begin. The video saving depends on the IP checking fail time. The maximum video file length is 10 minutes continuously.

    4. Schedule snapshot: take snapshots according to a pre-defined time

    • The vertical and horizontal pixel is higher than 1280 x 720
    • In terms of video display, HD cameras send signals by means of scanning line-by-line (720p)
    • Support H.264 compression and the image high-to-width ratio is 16:9
    • fps (frame-per-second) is 25(PAL)/30(NTSC) per second

  • Q6  How to save Internet streaming volume or the image storage?
  • IP cameras provide excellent high definition images but there are still issues about image transmitting and storage. Under the condition of limited Internet bandwidth, the following tips give you some idea about how to save Internet streaming volume and the image storage:

    1. Use better compression format, such as H.264

    2. Use CBR (Constant Bit Rate) to adjust streaming volume

    3. Choose the appropriate definition according to the applied environment

    4. Adjust GOP (Group of Picture) can reduce image streaming volume

    5. Choose recording mode as Motion Detection. That way, only when an event is triggered that the recording will begin and save the image storage

  • Q7  What is Triple Streaming?
  • hiQview IP cameras provide various compression formats: H.264 / MPEG-4 / MJPEG allows user to select the best streaming format under different environment
